Brief Introduction
Ball Mill is an efficient and expedient tool for grinding many materials into fine powder. The ball mill is a horizontal rotating device transmitted by the outer gear. The materials are transferred to the grinding chamber through the quill shaft uniformly. The Ball Mill is usually used to grind many kinds of mine and other materials, or to select the mine. It is widely used in building material, chemical industry, etc. There are two grinding ways of the ball mill: the dry way and the wet way. It can be divided into tabular type and flowing type according to different expelling mine.
Main structure
The Ball Mill body consists of an all-welded mill shell and a T-sectional welded-up slide ring at either end, the cylindrical part of which is welded onto the ends of the shell. Side-driven mills have a reinforced shell section with a flange for bolting on the girth gear. Centrally driven mills have an outlet cone with large openings for material and venting air. The large diameter of this cone is welded onto the cylindrical part of the outlet slide ring, while the small diameter of the cone has a flange for bolting on the coupling of the central drive. The mill shell has four manholes,two for each grinding compartment.
Working Principle
Ball Mill is an important kind of equipments for the secondary grinding. After the material entering the hollow axis by the feeder, the material will be taken evenly and spirally into the first warehouse, where there is the ladder liner or the ripple liner with the different steel balls. When the tube structure revolving produces the centrifugal force, the steel balls will be carried higher to some extent, and then fall down to strike and grind the material. After grinded generally in the first warehouse, the material then will be taken into the second warehouse, in which there is the flat liner, the material will be regrind and then be discharged through the discharging grate liner. It is widely used for the cement, the silicate product, new type building material, fire-proof material, chemical fertilizer, black and non-ferrous metal, glass, ceramics and etc. Two kinds of process methods: by wet process or by dry process are both available.
